EVA Bucharest League Division 1 Round 3 plays out today, May 6th, 2026, and 8BIT comes in with the clearest momentum of any team in the field. After two rounds of closing the gap on Project Underdog — including the season’s tightest map, a 100-99% thriller on Cliff that flipped on a single round — the squad is primed to leap into 2nd place. Add a returning Adam fresh off a flawless Division 2 run, and Ghost hunting a third consecutive perfect round, and Round 3 is the most stacked day of the season so far.
The Field
| # | Team | Round 1 | Round 2 | Coming In From |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ghost | 3-0 (6-0 maps) | 3-0 (6-1 maps) | Back-to-back D1 champions |
| 2 | Project Underdog | 2-1 (4-3 maps) | 2-1 (5-3 maps) | Holding 2nd, but the lead is shrinking |
| 3 | 8BIT | 1-2 (2-4 maps) | 1-2 (3-5 maps) | Trending up — closer to PUD every round |
| 4 | Adam | 0-3 (1-6 maps) — relegated | Won D2 3-0 (6-0 maps) | Returning from Division 2 |
Storyline 1: Ghost Going for the Three-Peat
Ghost has yet to drop a match in Bucharest League Division 1. They are 6-0 in series, 12-1 in maps across two rounds. Round 2 saw them concede their only map of the entire season — Cliff against Project Underdog — before responding with conviction across Horizon and Artefact.
The core engine has been GHTxASAS1NSS, who has posted double-digit kills on nearly every map he has played, and GHTxBobo, whose 16/6 line on Horizon vs OneShot is the single best K/D performance of the season. GHTxYoshi and GHTxGABI round out a roster that simply does not have a weak link right now.
The question is no longer can Ghost win the round — it is can anyone take a single map off them. That answer probably comes down to Project Underdog’s Cliff again.
Storyline 2: Adam’s Redemption Arc
Adam is the only team in Division 1 that has played in every round so far — and the only one to have been relegated and re-promoted in a single season.
- Round 1 D1: 0-3, 1-6 maps. Bottom of the table. Down to D2.
- Round 2 D2: 3-0, 6-0 maps. Perfect run. Back to D1.
The contrast is sharp. In D2 they did not drop a single map across three series. The form is undeniable — but the gap between divisions is the entire point of the so-called 4th place curse: in Round 1, Adam went 0-3 in D1 right after climbing up. In Round 2, OneShot went 0-3 in D1 right after climbing up (also 1-6 in maps, an identical line). That is two-for-two.
Adam needs to be the team that finally breaks the pattern. Their first match of the day is against Ghost — a brutal opening test, but possibly the best stress check the squad can ask for.
Storyline 3: 8BIT’s Breakout Round
The headline storyline of Round 3 is 8BIT closing the door on the top two. The numbers across two rounds make the case clearly: 8BIT was a single round away from beating Project Underdog on Cliff in Round 2 (100-99%), put 12 kills on Ghost on Helios in the closest map of that series, and has steadily improved both individually and as a unit between rounds.
The firepower is real:
- 8BITxCrCosmin is the clearest top fragger across the entire division outside of Ghost — a 14/3 line on Cliff vs OneShot and 12 kills on Helios staring down GHTxASAS1NSS himself. He has been the league-best AR threat.
- 8BITxMusonu put up a 12/5 line on Cliff against Project Underdog, almost single-handedly stealing that map at 100-99%. He is the difference-maker in tight rounds.
- 8BITxRodebrecht matched 11 kills on Engine to seal the OneShot series in Round 2, providing the consistent secondary fragging that turns close maps into wins.
The pieces are in place. Project Underdog has held 2nd on the back of POGxALY86 (14 kills vs OneShot, 12 vs 8BIT) and POGxaNON1M (10/4 on Silva), but they have not pulled away — they have been bled closer every round. A 2-1 win for 8BIT on the head-to-head flips the season’s narrative entirely. After two rounds of “almost,” Round 3 looks like the one where 8BIT finally takes the leap.
Match Schedule (in order)
The round runs in EVA’s standard 4-team circle order:
- Ghost vs Adam — Adam’s first test back in D1. Ghost’s first chance to set the tone.
- Project Underdog vs 8BIT — The 2nd place decider, played early. Win this and 8BIT controls the table.
- Ghost vs 8BIT — The marquee matchup of the round. 8BIT enters in the best form they have had all season — and they are the team most capable of taking maps off Ghost.
- Adam vs Project Underdog — PUD under pressure if they have already dropped to 8BIT.
- Ghost vs Project Underdog — The other top-of-table fixture. Cliff is must-watch again.
- 8BIT vs Adam — The closer, and a likely 2-0 statement win that locks 8BIT’s place at the top of the table.
What’s at Stake
Division 1 LP weights this season:
| Position | LP |
|---|---|
| 1st | 100 |
| 2nd | 85 |
| 3rd | 70 |
| 4th | 55 (relegated to Division 2) |
Beyond the LP, 4th place drops to D2 for Round 4 — which is what makes the closing 8BIT vs Adam match the highest pressure fixture of the day for both sides if results hold to form elsewhere.
What to Watch
- Does 8BIT take 2nd? The numbers, the form, and the matchup tell the same story — this is the round where it happens. The first answer comes in match 2, against Project Underdog.
- Does 8BIT take a map off Ghost? They have been closer than anyone — and 8BITxCrCosmin’s Helios performance shows the firepower is there.
- Does Adam break 0 wins? Even one series win flips the 4th place curse narrative.
- Does Ghost concede a series for the first time? Round 3 is the toughest test they have faced.
